I would like to get more into comics, do you have any suggestions of where to start? I've read Watchmen and V for Vendetta and from what I've been able to glean over my life, I like Robin, Wonder Woman, The Human Torch, and Captain America. Anything to help would be great! :) (from molliehaswords)

  I think a lot of people new to comics make the mistake of skipping golden and silver age comics.

  That’s a mistake.

  Check out some Essential Marvel or Showcase Presents books. Big thick 500 page black and white reprints that have some really great comics from the 50’s 60, and 70’s. I’d suggest Essential Tomb Of Dracula, or Showcase Presents Strange Adventures. So much fun, and a cheap way to get some fantastic comics.
